We are always undergoing construction! Our goal is to make it as safe and comfortable as possible while these fur-babies are with us until healthy, rehabilitated and adopted! We specialize in the feral dogs rehabilitation so we need to keep that in mind when building. Most of these dogs can clear a 5 foot fence. They'll Dig and go right through a fence!
We have 3 kennels connected to a house. Each Kennel has it's own indoor/outdoor space. They have a doggy door going to an inside space that is heated and air conditioned. We are currently building 2, 4 foot block walls with custom chain link going up 6 foot. One is done 2 more to go! The concrete slabs are done and the drains are in. Inside the puppy palace we still need to finish one wall. We have pipes running from the concrete slabs for each kennels. All supplies for these projects have been purchased and we are just waiting on the manpower. We are also looking for someone to paint and block walls a graphic.
We have 3 large play yards. This is important for socializing and testing dogs as well as exercise. We do need to extend the 5 foot fencing to 6 foot. The outer fencing need to be replaced with 6 foot chain-link. If you can help please give us a call!
We need to get a 6 foot perimeter up around the entire property. 5 foot ins't working. It's a total of about 600 feet of fencing and posts. Details to come!
There's many ways you can help! Volunteering doesn't just mean working at the rescue. You can help anywhere in the world! We need help anyway you can offer it. Our rescue facility has on average 30 to 60 dogs on site at any given time. We never know what's going to come in. Below is some examples that will help us save lives!
Be hands on at the rescue! Work with, play with and love the dogs. Help make them feel better and be apart of the dogs recovery. Giving baths, meds and keeping their environment clean and dry. This is the most rewarding job of all but is also the hardest and heartbreaking.
We need help getting all these fur-baby's to and from the vet. Mostly to and from the spay and neuter clinic. These trips are scheduled in advance making volunteer life a little easier!
Sometimes emergency calls come in and we need all hands on deck! Someone to get to the location asap and someone waiting for them at the rescue or someone able to get them to the vet asap. Is that you?
We have multiple things going on online, on Facebook, snap chat, adoption profiles, email marketing, newsletters, the website and multiple emails.
We are always sharing what we are doing. New animals coming in and who's' been adopted. We are always responding to messages and comments and we have to keep the photos up to date in the adoptable dogs and cats albums.
We also are looking for facebook users to please network the animals in the local Greene county shelter to help save them. By sharing their page it can help get an animal out.
We like to create videos with our rescues to help promote the rescue, raise awareness and funding. If you have experience in video production please let us know!
We're always in need of volunteers during events. We need help setting up, planning, helping to get supplies by going to different company's and asking if they can help.
Every Saturday we are at PetSmart-Goldsboro NC and always in need of volunteers willing to meet us there or come out to the rescue and help load up or transport.
We are always improving the lives of the dogs and cats that live at the rescue. We need labor most of the time for this. Laying concrete, putting up fencing, building gates. spreading out rock or fixing dog houses and cleaning out renovation debris. It's never ending and always in need of help! No special skills needed!
No donation is too small and no voice is too quiet to be heard. We will devote the time and energy necessary to educate, rescue and protect.
Dogs are family!
